Here's the PC I wrote this code with using
Netscape Composer 4.76. I got it second-hand in 2001 as the first
computer I ever had. I chose a desktop Mac, a Performa 5400/160MHz as I wasn't
sure if I could understand how to make it work.
In fact, I had to re-install the system eight times in the first six
months, but now things are better! I popped in a level 2 cache which sped
it up considerably, especially when I read several audio tracks at the
same time. |

This is a little map of Europe in case you don't
know where Strasbourg is. It's situated in the north-east corner of France,
right on the border with Germany.
I've put a red dot above the 'g' of Strasbourg to help you see where
it is. This is where the european parlement is. |

On the home page you can see the front-side of
the house where my ground-floor flat is.
This is the little garden common to everyone in the house. I sometimes
go and lie there in summer to read. It's nice and quiet except for jets
flying directly overhead to land at the city airport 8 miles away. Luckily
that only happens once every half-hour! |

Here is the part of the city centre called "La
Petite France" where there are lots of canals, locks, and houses dating
from the Middle Ages. You can see the 144m tall cathedral spire on the
right in the background.

I took my camera along one day to a park on the
northern fringe of Strasbourg. So this is the Chateau de Pourtales. A lot
of Strasbourg people come here for a walk week-ends. Sadly, a lot of trees
were blown down during the great tempest at the end of 1999.
